Harry Welfare

Henry " Harry " Welfare ( born August 20, 1888 in Liverpool, † September 1, 1966 in Angra dos Reis ) was an English football player and coach. He played as a striker.

Career

Welfare went to Brazil, where he first worked as an English teacher in Rio de Janeiro. There he played for Fluminense, where he was very successful. He scored throughout his career at Fluminense in 166 games 163 goals.

Later he worked as a coach at Vasco da Gama.
