Hartschier
Hart Skis (also Hatschier, slurred from the Italian Arciere = Archer ) is the name of a military branch of service.
The Hartschiere were in different princes and electorates, including the Electorate of Cologne, Bavaria and Austria Guards regiments, later only as a ceremonial house military troops without actual task. With the downfall of the principalities and monarchies later than 1918 this Hofgarden were abolished.

The rank of staff officers had the
- Exempt (highest company - commissioned officer with officer character )
- Cornet
- Second Lieutenant (if not the rank of general )
Rank of captain had the
- Adjutant
Lieutenant rank had the
- 4 Premier - brigadier ( senior NCOs )
Under the rank of lieutenant had the
- 4 sous - brigadier ( lower NCOs )
For company staff also included two doctors, a Quartermaster ( Captain ), a Fourier (catering sergeant, lieutenant ) and an auditor ( court officer, at the Hard Schieren as regimental auditor 1st class instance in the rank of captain ).
The simple Hartschiere ranked with the cadet 1st class ( Junker ) and thus stood between the sergeants and lieutenants of the army.
