Hasenkamp

Hasenkamp is a municipality in the category 2 in the Department of Paraná province of Entre Ríos, Argentina.

Namesake and founder of the community are the brothers Edward and Frederick Hare Kamp, who immigrated in 1866 from Paderborn to Argentina. They bought on July 30, 1883 5,400 acres of land in the north of the Department of Paraná, where he did farming. The actual foundation of the church took place on 25 August 1906. 2001 Hasenkamp had 4,413 inhabitants.

Hasenkamp is known particularly for his murga, a form of the South American carnival, which is mainly organized in the Río de la Plata region of Uruguay and Argentina.
