Hashima, Gifu
Hashima (Japanese羽 岛 市, -shi) is a city in the Japanese prefecture of Gifu.
History
The city was founded on April 1, 1954.
Geography
Hashima lies south of Gifu and northwest of Nagoya.
The river Nagara flows through the city from northwest to southwest. The river Kiso flows through the city from the northeast to the southeast.
Traffic
Hashima is connected to the Meishin highway. At Gifu - Hashima station there is the possibility to take the JR Tōkaidō Shinkansen to Tokyo and Hakata.
