Hässelby-Vällingby

Hässelby - Vällingby is a municipality in the north-west of Stockholm city center and has about 59,000 inhabitants.

Vällingby

The district has about 6,700 inhabitants and is an important example of modern Swedish architecture. Its center, Vällingby Centrum, was the first so-called ABC city in Sweden and gained for its successful implementation great international recognition. ABC stands for the Swedish Arbete, Bostad och Centrum, work, housing and center, and it means that people work within small limits, live and have access to the most important social and cultural service.

Hässelby Gård

The name of the district comes from a farm that has existed since the 12th century. In the fifties of the 17th century Carl Bonde was built on the site of a castle. Today the building houses a cultural center is housed.

The houses of the hamlet arose mainly 1953-1955. Since 1956 Hässelby Gård is connected by the Stockholm subway to downtown.

Hässelby beach

Hässelby Villastad

Grimsta
