Hatsushima

The island Hatsushima (Japanese初 岛) is located in the Sagami Bay, in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is with a diameter of 4 km and an area of ​​44 acres is not very large, but the only inhabited island in the prefecture. 2006 there were 243 people on it. By speedboat, it is about 30 minutes from Atami, the closest mainland port to which it belongs administratively. The island is fully developed for tourism.
