Haussmann

Haussmann Haussmann, or is a German surname, derived from the name Hausmann, available also as a family name.

There are two extended families who bear this name, which comes from a Thuringian Bad Tennstedt and is derived from the Steinhauer Hans Hausmann ( 1582-1636 ). A branch of this family emigrated to Colmar, it comes from well-known representative of the French prefect Georges -Eugène Haussmann ( 1809-1891 ).

The second extended family comes from the Württemberg Reudern at Oberboihingen, her earliest known ancestor, Hans Haussmann, who was born about 1450 and died before 1526. His sons lived in Oberboihingen and established several branches of this family, which includes many well-known people:
