Hay Shire

Hay is in the southwest of the state in the Murrumbidgee and Lachlan River about 720 km west of the city of Sydney. The area includes 24 villages and towns: Benarca, Benduck, Booligal, Burrabogie, cobran, Eurolie, Eurugabah, Geramy, Hay, Hay Irrigation Area, South Hay, Hay West, Illilliwa, Maude, Nap Nap, Newmarket, Nulabor, One Tree, Pevensey, Ravensworth, Thelangerin, Toogimbie, Wyoming and part of Oxley. The seat of the Shire Council is located in Hay in the southern half of the LGA, where about 2,600 inhabitants.

Management

The Hay Shire Council has eight members who are elected by the residents of the LGA. Hay is not divided into districts. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
