The Hayes River is a river in the Canadian territory of Nunavut.
It has its origin in an unnamed lake, 50 km north of the western tip of the Wager Bay. From there, it flows 250 km to the northwest. Then he turns to the southwest and, after another 70 km along the Back River, just before its confluence with the Chantrey Inlet. Its mean annual discharge is 120 m³ / s
