Hayko Cepkin

Cepkin Hayko (Armenian Հայկո Ջեպկին; born March 11, 1978 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish musician of Armenian descent. The Anadolu Rock, Industrial and Alternative Metal musician since 1997, singer and keyboardist of the band named after him, the label EMI Group, together with Oğuzsoy Sedat, Murat Cem Ergül and earlier with Onur Şengül, Poyraz Kılıç and Umut Tore.

After graduating from the Armenian school Getronagan, Cepkin spent two years studying musicology at the Mimar Sinan University and attended courses in solfège and harmony on Modern Muzikzentrum Timur Selçuk. After another year at the Istanbul Academy he began with Turkish artists such as Ogun Şanlısoy, Aylin Aslım, Koray Candemir and Demir Demirkan act and work together. Career

2005 Cepkin formed his own band, whose members Umut Tore (guitarist ), Onur Şengül (bass) and Murat Cem Ergül (drums ) and Hayko were as the lead singer. Onur Şengül left the group shortly before the release of their second album and was replaced by Sedat Oğuzsoy. Many composed of Cepkin songs appeared on his first album Sakin Olmam Lazim, which was published in 2005. He used different styles of music from references to the classical Turkish music to rock music on the album. Some of his singles that were released from this album are " Yarası Sakli ", " Görmüyorsun ", " Fırtınam ", " Son Kez " and " Zaman Geçti ".

In June 2007 Cepkin released his second album titled tanışma Bitti. The first single " Yalniz Kalsin " was very successful in Turkey. He appeared in the annual Turkish rock music festival " Rock'n Coke" and sang in concerts across the country, most of which were sold. In March 2010, he released his third album called Sandık. The single " Yol Gözümü Dağlıyor " was released as a music video a few days before the album. He produced it two more music videos - " Doymadınız " and " Balik Olsaydım ". A few months later Cepkin was invited to Cologne to perform " Boat House " at the nightclub.
