Haynsburg is a district of the municipality Wetterzeube in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Haynsburg is about 7 km southwest of Zeitz and 10 km north of Bad Koestritz on the right bank of the White Elster, while the train station is located on the left bank.

History

Haynsburg 1624 was affected by witch hunts. Gertraudt Haussler was caught in a witch trial and was burned.

In the district Sautzschen the Berlin Transport chatted in the new mill operating a holiday home.

On 1 January 2010 the municipalities Haynsburg and Breitenbach joined forces with the community Wetterzeube the new community Wetterzeube. see also Castle Haynsburg

Infrastructure
