Hayward City Hall

The Hayward City Hall, Hayward, California, is the third town hall of the city's history and is right next to the Bay Area Rapid Transit station.

The building with a facade of limestone and granite, was built for 29 million U.S. dollars from 1996 and opened in January 1998. The roof is made of 60% recycled copper. Since the Hayward City Hall is only 200 meters from a fault, it was extremely resistant to earthquakes built so that they can survive quake a magnitude of 7.5 on the Richter scale without loss of function.
