HaZvi

HaTzewi (Hebrew הצבי, dt The Stag ) was a Hebrew- language newspaper, published in Jerusalem by Eliezer Ben- Yehuda, is due to the large part the fact that Hebrew is now back as a native language in use. The newspaper was published from 1884 until it was banned in 1914 by the Ottoman Empire.

History

The first issue of HaTzewi appeared on 24 October 1884. At this time, nor published as a weekly newspaper, she converted in 1908 to newspaper. The Light ). 30 years after the first edition of the newspaper was for a Jewish state by the Ottoman Empire prohibited by the articles published in it outstanding accounts receivable during the First World War.
