The HC Slovan Bratislava (Russian ХК " Слован » Братислава ) is an ice hockey club in the city of Bratislava in Slovakia, was founded in 1921 as the first ČsŠK Bratislava and now plays in the Continental Hockey League. Between 1945 and 1993 the team competed in the Czechoslovak Extraliga and from 1993 to 2012 in the Slovak Extraliga. History
Three years after its foundation, in December 1924, was the former team its first international match against the Wiener EV from - the game was lost with 1:6. The club renamed itself in 1939 in Slovan order and retained this name until today. As Slovan Bratislava ChZJD the club 1972-1974 three times the tournament win at the Spengler Cup in Davos celebrated. The greatest success of the club in the 1978/79 season, when he won the title of the Czechoslovak master. A large part of this success were the brothers Anton Šťastný, Marián Šťastný and Peter Šťastný.
