The HC ZUBR Přerov is an ice hockey club from Přerov, which was founded in 1928 as Sportovní klub Přerov. The club takes part in the game since 1998, operating the third-rate second národní hokejová league and plays its home games at the 3,000 -seat stadium Přerov from winter. Main sponsor and namesake of the association since 2006 the brewery ZUBR Přerov.

History

The club was founded in 1928 as Sportovní klub Přerov and played until the early 1970s in regional amateur leagues, as in Přerov no artificial ice was available, and therefore the training conditions were impaired.

1971 art ice rink was opened in Přerov, which became the new home ground of the association. At the end of the 1972/73 season that reached the ascent from the regional league ( czech Krajský přebor ) in the fourth-rate Divize. The following season the renamed TJ Meochema Přerov club won its season of Divize and then defeated the TJ Slovan Hodonín in two qualifying matches. Thus, the club was relegated to the third- highest division, the second Česká národní hokejová league, on. Again, three years later, the club in the second division, the first ČNHL, ascend and won the championship in 1982 this league. This also eligible to participate in the relegation to League 1, but with three losses ended against Slovan Bratislava CHZJD.

1993 Meochema Přerov in the new, all-Czech second league (1st League ) was divided. In the 1995/96 season the team won their semifinal, thus qualifying for the play-offs for the Extraliga, managed in 12 games but only one win against the other relegation participants and remained in the first league.

1998 HC Přerov rose from the first into the second league, where he plays since then.
