HD 16175
HD 16175 is an approximately 200 light-years distant supergiant of spectral type G0 in the constellation Andromeda. It has an apparent visual magnitude of 7.3 mag and is a foreground star to the open star cluster Messier 34
The star has a spectroscopic companion with the systematic name HD 16175 b and an orbital period of about 2.7 years. With a minimum mass of about 4.4 Jupiter masses it could be in the companion to an exoplanet, or a brown dwarf. The eccentricity of the orbit is estimated to be 0.59 ± 0.11; with an estimated mass of 1.3 solar masses for the central star, the object has a semi-major axis of about 2.1 astronomical units.
