HD 23079 b

HD 23079 b is an extrasolar planet, the yellow dwarf HD 23079 orbits every 730.6 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.

Discovery

As the majority of exoplanets was also discovered that using the radial velocity method. The planet was by C. G. Tinney et al. discovered in 2001.

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of about 1.6 astronomical units at an eccentricity of 10.2% and has a mass of about 778.9 Earth masses and 2.45 Jupiter masses.
