Steps in the Night ( Alternative title: steps without trace, Original Title: He Walked by Night ) is a twisted black and white American film noir of Alfred L. artisans from the year 1948.

Action

In an attempted burglary in an electronics shop in Los Angeles the criminal Roy Morgan is caught by a police officer. He shoots him and flees. The two Sergeants Marty Brennan and Chuck Jones take over the investigations into the case. With the help of modern forensic methods of the police laboratory specialists Lee Whitey trying to track down the perpetrators. You encounter the electronics dealer Paul Reeves, who unwittingly takes Morgan's loot in the Commission and resold. The police in Morgan Reeves loading a trap.
