Heah Hock Aun

Heah Hock Aun ( born January 15, 1932 in Penang, also known as Johnny Heah ) is a former badminton player from Malaysia.

Career

Johnny Heah 1958 was a member of the Thomas Cup team, who lost the final of the competition against Indonesia. Heah lost it a double with Lim Say Hup against Tan King Gwan and Njoo Kiem Bie scarce in three sets while he could clearly win the second doubles against Tan Joe Hok and Ferry Sonneville in two sets.

1952 Heah won in Europe, the Scottish Open and the Irish Open. The All England 1953 Johnny Heah lost the final against purely Malaysian Eddy Choong. He could return the favor for this defeat in the doubles final in 1957, when he could defeat the Choong - brothers together with Joe Alston.

Heah is the son of former President of the Malaysian Badminton Association Heah Joo Seang. 1955 married Johnny Heah with Amy Choong successful badminton player.
