Heartbreak High

Heartbreak High was an Australian youth series from 1994 to 1999, in which it came to the lives of students at the multi-cultural " Hartley High" school in Sydney. The series is a sequel to the film Heartbreak Kid starring Alex Dimitriades and Claudia Karven

Radiations

In Australia, the series launched in 1994 on the television channel Network Ten and brought it to six seasons and 210 episodes. In Germany, ZDF showed from 16 September 1994, the first 52 episodes, but the ratings were below expectations. From the 20th January 1996, the series moved to Sat.1 and was continued there. The last 50 episodes of the series have not been aired in Germany.

Action

Throughout the series is about different cliques who visit all the high school and their concerns and needs as well as friendships, love affairs and problems. The students come from different backgrounds and cultures, whatever is potential for conflict. Initially, the family Poulos and their son Nick was in the foreground, but over the following seasons, other characters came to the fore. It was typical for the series, that in addition to soap elements addressed also firmer youth issues and transforming them realistic. Unlike other school series, the focus remained on throughout the school and not on the experiences of the characters after the departure of the school, such as in Beverly Hills, 90210 or Dawson 's Creek, which illuminated the lives of the characters in college. In order to ensure a certain Unspoiled and freshness, so the characters were regularly exchanged with new ones. Throughout the series thus not a single character of the original cast was left.
