Hecato of Rhodes

Hekaton of Rhodes was a Stoic living around 100 BC Greek philosopher. He was a native and student of Panaetius of Rhodes. He maintained relations to Rome. Diogenes Laertius mentions the titles of several lost works of Hekaton. According to Marcus Tullius Cicero, he also wrote about the duties. From him is, as Cicero says in De Officiis, the example comes, which is handed down as a board of Carneades.
