Héctor Baldassi

Héctor Walter Baldassi ( born January 5, 1966 in Río Ceballos, Córdoba ) is an Argentine international football referee.

His first Argentine first division he led in 1998 and only two years later he debuted internationally. Baldassi whose nickname is La Coneja (Spanish for The doe ), conducted some games in CONMEBOL club competitions including the final match of the Copa Libertadores 2008. He participated in several international competitions, including the Copa America in 2004 and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He was nominated for the 2007 U20 World Cup, but later removed because one of his assistants did not pass the medical tests.

He was selected for the 2010 World Cup.
