Hedensted Municipality

Hedensted municipality is a Danish municipality in Jutland. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Hedensted commune with the former municipalities Juelsminde and Tørring - Uldum (without the parish Grejs, which joined the Municipality of Vejle - only a small part of the parish in which is 17 people, is still on the territory of the commune Hedensted ).

Hedensted municipality has a total population of 45 868 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​551.10 km ². It is part of Jutland region.
