Hefei–Bengbu High-Speed Railway

The high-speed line Hefei - Bengbu (Chinese合 蚌 客运 专线) or Hebeng PDL (after the initial syllables of Hefei and Bengbu ) is a branch line of the Chinese high-speed Beijing- Shanghai, which branches off from the main line at Bengbu and Hefei, capital of Anhui Province leads.

The construction of 130.67 km long route began in January 2009 and will cost ¥ 13.6 billion ( € 1.6 billion ). The course is designed for 350 km / h. It is located in August 2012 in a trial run with speeds up to 385 km / h have been achieved and should be released in late 2012 for the commercial passenger traffic.
