Heidi Brühl

Heidi Rosemarie Brühl ( born January 30, 1942 in Munich, † June 8, 1991 in Starnberg ) was a German pop singer and actress.

Life

Even as a five year old Heidi Brühl took dance lessons. The producer and director Harald Braun recognized her talent and gave her a small role in the 1954 released movie The Last summer, the little sister of the main character (played by Liselotte Pulver ). But only the Immenhof movies they made known in Germany. She played there the young and fun-loving Dalli and sang with the children from Malente ( in the Holstein Switzerland between Lübeck and Kiel located ) the "Pony Song " (actually sung by the Schöneberg Boys Choir ). The three films The girls from Immenhof (1955 ), Wedding on Immenhof (1956) and Holiday on Immenhof (1957 ) was a commercial success. Then Brühl, decided to undergo training. She spent five years studying singing, dancing, took acting lessons and trained in English and French.

1959 Brühls father sent a demo tape of his daughter to the record company Philips that a deal completed by further tests with her. It was first marketed along with Corina Corten as the Dolly Sisters. In August 1959, Brühl's first solo album Chico Chico Charlie in the German charts, where she rose to the fifth place. Until 1967, she was able to place twelve other titles in the German charts. Reached its greatest success Heidi Brühl, entitled We want to never go apart by Michael Jary. With this song she joined the hit parade (1960), the German Grand Prix preliminary round for Euro Vision 1960, but ended up behind Wyn Hoop only in second place. At the Grand Prix Euro Vision 1963 she represented Germany and labeled with the title of Marcel Charly Niessen the 9th Place. In the following years she devoted herself to the musical. She played and sang mainly in Annie Get Your Gun by Irving Berlin.

Shortly before her 21st birthday, died Heidi Brühl's father, who was her manager until then. She moved then in 1964 from Munich to Rome to gain a foothold in the international film business. In the same year she married the American actor Brett Halsey. From this marriage two children were born. The marriage ended in divorce in 1976.

1970 Brühl went to the USA where she appeared in Las Vegas with Sammy Davis Jr. and other American show stars. There she also received numerous engagements in television productions, including Columbo (1973). In The twins from Immenhof (1973) and in spring on Immenhof (1974 ) she played again now been moved to Immenhof owner figure Dalli. Her partner was Horst Janson.

In the early 1980s returned Heidi Brühl finally back to Germany. In January 1980, she appeared in Playboy. She founded his own music publishing and was also active as a producer. She celebrated a keenly awaited comeback as a singer, as in 1981 and 1982 two record singles in English published in disco music style ( You Are A Part Of My Heart and No Ties No Tears ), with which it got its renowned television music show Musikladen occurred.

Heidi Brühl's voice can be heard as Southern oracle in the movie The Neverending Story from the year 1984 and the German voice of Kirstie Alley in Look Who 's Talking 2 1990. Among her recent film roles included appearances in the television series A Case for Two and practice Bülowbogen (both 1987).

In 1959 she was featured in the single Paul Temple radio play by Francis Durbridge, which was produced by BR, namely Paul Temple and the Conrad Case.

Brühl died in 1991 after a cancer operation on cardiac and circulatory failure. She was buried at the Munich Forest Cemetery.
