Heiko Bonath

Heiko Bonath is a German handball player and coach.

Bonath played for the SC Dynamo Berlin from 1991 to 1994 at TBV Lemgo, then at TuS Joellenbeck and again from 1997 TBV Lemgo.

In the array of men's national handball team of the GDR Heiko Bonath played in the World Cup ( World Cup ) in 1986, where he finished third with his team, and at the World Cup ( World Cup ) 1990. He got a total of 80 times in the squad of the national team. In 1984 he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in gold.

After his pro career Bonath was handball trainers. From 1999 to 2003 he coached the team of the HSG Augustendorf / Hovelhof.

His son Rico Bonath is also handball player.
