Heimo Kump was born on 1 April 1968 in Graz. After graduating from elementary school in Hausmannstätten he attended the Federal School Lichtenfels in Graz, which he successfully completed with the Matura. In the period 1987-1993 Kump graduated of Physical Education and Latin at the Karl- Franzens- University of Graz.
