Heiner Thade

Heiner Thade ( born September 15, 1942 in Luedinghausen ) is a former modern pentathlete from Germany.

Thade was in 1961 at Neheimer Neusprachliches High School (now Franz Stock Gymnasium), the High School and then studied at the University of Freiburg, languages ​​and sports. From 1973 to 2004 he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Sport of the University of Munich where he worked as Academic Director.

Thade took in 1968 in Mexico, 1972 in Munich and 1976 in Montreal at the Olympic Games in part. 1969 and 1972 he was German champion in modern pentathlon. In 1973 he was in London with the team runner-up.

Thade lives in the district of Arnsberg Neheim. On 19 December 1972 he was awarded the Honorary Ring of the city at that time Neheim- Hüsten.
