Heinkenborstel

Heinkenborstel is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography and transport

Heinkenborstel is located about 17 km north- west of Neumünster and 20 km south of Rendsburg in Akrug Nature Park. West runs the main road 77 from Rendsburg to Itzehoe, south of State Road 430 towards Neumünster Meldorf.

Policy

Of the seven seats in the municipal council voters Community KWG since the local elections in May 2013, all seats.

History

A historical source for the administrative structure of a nome is an instrument which Henry the Lion was exhibiting in Heinkenborstel on 13 September 1148. Witness the deed was Vergotus country judge, son of Daso de Ennige ( Innien ).

Economy

The municipal area is predominantly agricultural, but tourism is becoming increasingly important.
