Life

Heinrich Bolleter was born on May 13, 1941 in Zurich, where he grew up and graduated from the school education up to the graduation. The theological training took place from 1962 to 1965 at the Theological Seminary of the (then) Methodist Episcopal Church in Frankfurt am Main. In 1966 he married Martha Zellweger (now Martha Bolleter ), with whom he has three children.

During his ten -year duration of action in Thalwil he designed also as sole editor of the journal " Church world" and represented an open church, as it corresponds to the tradition of Methodism.

1989 was elected Heinrich Bolleter in Baden as the successor of Franz Werner Schäfer for the time being four years, 1993 in Bern- Bümpliz for life as bishop of the United Methodist Church. 2006 Heinrich Bolleter was presented on behalf of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria in the Vienna Hofburg, the Great Silver Medal with Star for Services to the Republic of Austria.
