Heinrich X, Count of Reuss-Ebersdorf

Heinrich X Reuss ( younger line ) ( born November 29, 1662 at Lobenstein, † June 10, 1711 in Ebersdorf ) was Count of Praise Stone, since 1678 Graf zu Ebersdorf. X. Henry is the founder of the Reuss line Ebersdorf.

Life

Henry was the youngest son of Henry X. ( Reuss- Lobenstein ) ( 1621-1671 ), Lord of Lobenstein, Hirschberg and Ebersdorf (even the youngest son of Henry II Posthumus ) and his wife Marie Sibylle Reuss to Obergreiz. He was raised in 1673 in the imperial counts. After the division of the country in 1678 Henry was the residence Ebersdorf assigned what was so far a curiosity, since it concerned a village. When the Count wanted to marry, he had rebuilt the existing manor house in a modest castle and create a baroque garden 1692-1694.

Heinrich married on November 29, 1694 Finally, in Laubach Erdmuthe Benigna ( 1670-1732 ), daughter of Count Johann Friedrich zu Solms- Laubach. The couple was seen as extremely pious, and a close friend of the Halle Pietists educators August Hermann Francke, and later with the Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf, whose father he was. Ebersdorf soon became a center of Pietism in Thuringia.
