Heinz Wossipiwo

Heinz Wosipiwo ( born January 25, 1951 in Sohl ) is a former German ski jumper and now coach at State Training Centre in Klingenthal.

Heinz Wosipiwo started his jumping career under coach Harry Glaß at SC Dynamo Klingenthal. His first notable position he won 1971/72 at the Four Hills Tournament, when he finished 6th place in Innsbruck and was overall in fourth. In 1973/74 he was again eighth at the International Four Hills Tournament.

However, his greatest success he celebrated at the Ski Flying World Championships. In 1972 he finished second in Planica 2nd place behind Walter Steiner but before Jiří Raška. 1975 in the middle of the village / Tauplitz won in the same discipline again the 6th Place. On March 9, 1973, he presented at the ski flying week in Oberstdorf at the Heini Klopfer ski jump with 169 yards set a new world record.

In "normal" jumps his second places in 1973 stand out in Oberstdorf and 1974 in Falun at the World Championships ( both times behind Hans -Georg Aschenbach ).
