Helen Ward (footballer)

Helen Jane Ward ( born April 26, 1986 in Brent, London as Helen Jane Lander ) is a British football player and top scorer of the Welsh women's team.

Career

Helen began her career at the age of nine years at Watford LFC. She changed in January 2009 to Arsenal LFC, where in her debut against Colchester United LFC they scored a goal and thus the FA Women's Cup won. In September 2010, Lander moved to Chelsea LFC.

National

She represented England U- 23 side. However, since her mother's father is a Welshman, she opted for the Welsh national team to compete. Her debut was in 2008 in the match against Luxembourg. In August 2010, Lander scored six goals in a 15-0 against Azerbaijan.
