Helga Trüpel

Helga Trüpel ( born July 21, 1958 in Moers ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ). She was 1991-1995 Senator for Culture and Integration of Foreigners of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.

Policy

1980 Helga Trüpel joined the precursor of today's Greens party Alliance 90/The Greens.

Bremen

From 1987 to 1991 and again from 1995 to 2004 she was a member of the Bremen City Parliament. Here she was from 2003 to 2004 Vice-President of citizenship.

From 1991 to 1995 she was led as a Senator for Culture and the integration of foreigners by Klaus Wedemeier (SPD ) at the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, where they for a few months also headed the department of environmental protection and urban development from February 1995.

For Europe

2004 and 2009 she was elected for national conventions of the Alliance 90/The Greens in the federal list for elections to the European Parliament and pulled each one on the list positions 13 and 10 respectively. Since 2004 she has been the deputy spokesperson of the German delegation of the Greens in the European Parliament ( Europe group GREEN ).

In the period 2009-2014 Truepel is also deputy chairman of the Committee on Culture and Education and a member of the Budget Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Delegation for relations with the People 's Republic of China. As a deputy she is in the Delegation for relations with Israel and the Delegation for relations with the United States.
