Heligoland (Album)

Heligoland is the fifth studio album by British music group Massive Attack. The titling refers to the German island of Helgoland (English: Heligoland ). The album contains ten tracks and was 2010, seven years after the last studio album by Massive Attack, published. However, the first four pieces are taken from the published in 2009 domestic production Splitting the atom. The piece of Paradise Circus was released as a single. It reached number 41 in the Swiss Singles Chart. In the album charts Heligoland reached number 4 in Germany. In England, the album Gold status and number 6 on the album charts reached.

Occupation

As with the previous album, 100th Window are responsible for Heligoland Robert Del Naja, a founding member of Massive Attack, and the producer Neil Davidge. Even the former band member Grantley Marshall was involved in the production, after he had left the band during the formation of 100th Window.

Numerous guest musicians have gathered on Heligoland, including, among others, Horace Andy, Blur singer Damon Albarn, Guy Garvey, Martina Topley -Bird and Hope Sandoval.
