Heliocles I

Heliokles I (ca. 145-130 BC ) was a Greek- Bactrian king. He is known only from his coins. He was perhaps a son of Eukratides I. In Junianus Justin is reported that Eukratides was I. murdered by his son on an India campaign. The name of the son is not mentioned, but it could be either Heliokles, who then reigned as king. It is believed that Heliokles I. led war in India. He was probably the last Greek ruler of Bactria, before it was conquered by the Yueh-chih.
