Helmut Gneuss

Helmut Gneuss ( born October 29, 1927 in Berlin ) is a German Anglist.

He is professor emeritus at the University of Munich, where until 1997 he held the chair of historic English Linguistics from 1965. Under his leadership (1965-1997) was " Munich ascend to the internationally recognized Center for Medieval and especially Old English studies., It published a series of publications of the Institute.
