Helmut Pampuch

Helmut Pampuch (born 30 January 1940 in the United Mahlendorf, Upper Silesia, † 20 March 2008) was a German opera singer in the compartment of the Buffotenors.

He studied at the Nuremberg Conservatory at Willi Domgraf - Fassbaender. He received in 1963 in Regensburg, his first engagement. After Brunswick, Saarbrucken, Wiesbaden, he was a member from 1973 to 2005 the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf, where he played numerous roles of Buffofachs as Dr. Blind in Die Fledermaus. His most famous role was that of Mime in Richard Wagner's opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen, in particular from 1978 Patrice Chereau in the century ring - production at the Bayreuth Festival, which had 1976 premiere. On 18 August 2007, the Rhine Opera Dusseldorf gave her longtime ensemble member Helmut Pampuch honorary membership of their home.
