Hemetre

Hemetre was an ancient Egyptian princess, who is generally assigned to the 4th dynasty. Her parents are not known with certainty, due to the position of her grave she will, however, usually held for a daughter of Pharaoh Khafra. Through representations in her grave three sons and three daughters are known, the name of her husband, however, is not definitely ascertained.

Tomb

Hemtere heard a rock grave on the Central Field in Giza. It consists of two main rooms, which were originally isolated from each other by a double-leaf wooden door. In the eastern room are four pillars that are decorated with reliefs showing Hemetre together with their children and sacrifice charms.

Andrey Bolshakov underwent the grave early 1990s, a detailed analysis and came to the conclusion that it must have been built in several phases. In his view, the grave had been created in the 4th Dynasty and was originally undecorated. The extension, decoration and ultimate use of the tomb he dated to the end of the 5th Dynasty. Thus, the assignment of Hemetre daughter of Khafre is now very uncertain.
