Henk van Lijnschooten

Henk ( Henk ) Cornelis van Lijnschooten ( born March 28, 1928 in The Hague, † November 1, 2006 in Hendrik -Ido- Ambacht ) was a Dutch composer, who is also under the pseudonyms Michel (also: Michiel ) van Delft and Ted Huggens published works.

Life

Van Lijnschooten got violin and clarinet lessons at the music school of his native town. Initial studies he made at the Koeberg Fritz (1876-1961) in music theory, composition and conducting technique. He graduated from a Band - conductor training at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In 1957 he was appointed as the successor of Gijsbert Nieuwland Conductor of the Brass Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. With this orchestra he made ​​trips overseas and across Europe. From 1965 to 1970 he was professor of woodwinds at the Conservatory in Rotterdam. After that, he taught at the Conservatory Concert Directorate in Arnhem. In 1985 he was appointed by the Dutch Queen Knight in the Order of Orange - Nassau ( Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau ).
