Hennersdorf bei Wien

Henner is a village in Lower Austria municipality with 1411 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Mödling.

The community Henner village is situated in the northeastern part of the district and is adjacent to Vienna.

History

Grave finds from Hennersdorf show that mid-6th century, the Avars had dominion over Pannonia and here settled them tributary Slavs.

Later, the city told the eventful history of Austria. After Austria in 1938 connecting the city was incorporated into the city Greater Vienna 24th district. In 1954 the city became independent again and fell back to Lower Austria.

Economy

Used to be Henner village rather an agricultural community, so there are several commercial and industrial establishments today.

The most important enterprise, the company Wienerberger AG with its headquarters in Austria place and one of the most modern brick kilns in Europe. This brickworks at the former " Road to Italy " (Today Triesterstraße ) were leased in 1775 by Alois Miesbach and formed the foundation for today's company Wienerberger. This company has here taken through the many brickyards that emerged around the turn of the century to the 20th century, its origin.

Traffic

From Henner village you can reach by road, the village communities Leopold, Voesendorf and Achau. As part of the opening of the S1, the Vienna South Rim bypass, a truck - driving ban for the town was realized.

A second partnership has existed since 2006, Henner village in Silesia (Czech Republic), today Jindřichov ve Slezsku.
