Henning Graf Reventlow

Henning Graf Reventlow, Henning completely Lothar Gert Count Reventlow ( born September 22, 1929 in Potsdam; † 9 September 2010) was a German Protestant theologian, Old Testament scholar and university teacher.

He came from the line Altenhof and on Good Wittenberg, today part of Martensrade, established branch of the family von Reventlow and was the son of Detlev Graf Reventlow and Edith born angels.

In 1958 he was at the Georg -August- University of Göttingen with a dissertation on the Holiness Code to Dr.theol. doctorate. He habilitated in 1962 at the Christian -Albrechts -University of Kiel in the subject Old Testament. From 1965 until his retirement in 1994 he taught at the Ruhr University in Bochum. Guest professorships led him from 1994 to 1996 at the United Theological College in Bangalore, India, and in 1998 at the University of Tartu in Estonia.

Reventlow's focus was the design and history of research; His main work was the four -volume work epochs of biblical interpretation.
