Henri Cochet

Henri Cochet ( born December 14, 1901 in Villeurbanne, † April 1, 1987 in Saint- Germain -en- Laye ) was a French tennis player.

He was with his countrymen Jean Borotra, Jacques Brugnon and René Lacoste Tennis of the most influential players in the twenties and early thirties of the last century. These players became famous as "The Four Musketeers". In 1928, he broke Bill Tilden from as number 1 in tennis.

Cochet won as Rene Lacoste seven Grand Slam titles in France, the USA and England, but without winning also in Australia. He also won the French team six times in a row, the Davis Cup.
