Henri Eyebe Ayissi

Biography

After attending the Catholic Mission School of Obala and the acquisition of higher education entrance qualification ( baccalauréat ) to the seminar Schools Saint -Joseph d' Akono in Mbalmayo and Sainte- Thérese de Mvolyé in Yaoundé in 1973, he began studying law and economics at the University of Yaoundé, which he graduated in 1978 with a master's. He then began his Doctorate in Public Law from which he graduated in 1983. In addition, he graduated in 1981 and 1987, a post-graduate studies at the National School of Administration and Magistracy ( Ecole Nationale d'Administration et de ENM ).

His professional career began in November 1981 as an employee of the State Inspectorate General. In September 1982 he entered the service of the then Prime Minister, Paul Biya, and was also among Bello Bouba Maigari and his successors Luc Ayang until February 1984 Chief of Legal Studies Service and deputy director for legislative and regulatory affairs. Between August 1984 and September 1985, he was Head of the Department for Research and Regulations of the Ministry of public duties, before he followed until January 1987 First was commissioner for research in the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Planning and Territorial Development. On January 7, 1987, he was appointed secretary of the Council of Ministers and thus one of the leading staff of President Paul Biya, the de facto prime minister was between January 1984 and April 1991.

On December 7, 1990, he was appointed by President Biya as Minister of Town Planning and Housing in the government and held that office under Sadou Hayatou and Simon Achidi Achu, the successors Biya as Prime Minister. However, a position he lost in the context of a comprehensive reshuffle on 27 November 1992.

In 1998 he was appointed Inspector General of the services of the Ministry of Higher Education and then to the Inspector General Elections in the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization.

On September 7, 2007, he was finally appointed after 15 years of service outside the government as foreign minister in the cabinet of Ephraim Inoni. A position he took over in the subsequent government of Philemon Yang. As part of a comprehensive reshuffle he was replaced on December 11, 2011 by Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.
