Henri Stempffer

Henri Stempffer ( born January 23, 1894 in Paris, † November 1, 1978 ) was a French entomologist.

Stempffer 1922 was a member of the Société entomologique de France, which he was president in 1943. He specialized in the study of Bläulingen and here was a worldwide specialist. In 1967 he published a comprehensive review of the African species. Shortly before his death in 1977 he bequeathed his extensive collection of the Muséum national d' histoire naturelle.
