Henry Corden

Henry Corden ( born January 6, 1920 in Montreal, Canada, † 19 May 2005 Encino, California ) was a Canadian actor and spokesman in cartoons.

Career

In his youth, Henry moved to New York City. In the 40s he moved to Hollywood, where he had several small film roles. He played mostly on the roles of villains. In the 60s he changed his field of work on speakers in cartoons, including Tom and Jerry. In 1977, the American voice of Fred Flintstone in the series The Flintstones, Alan Reed died, Corden became his successor.

Henry Corden died at AMI Encino Hospital of emphysema. He is survived by his wife Angelina and five children and five grandchildren.
