Henry Edward Colville

Colonel, Sir Henry Edward Colville (* July 10, 1852, † November 25, 1907 ) was a British colonial administrator and officer, Major - General, in Uganda.

Colville was the British envoy ( Commissioner) in Uganda on November 4, 1893 to May 10, 1895. In December 1893, he led the military offensive against the place Mparo and there resided Omukama of Bunyoro, Kabalega.

Colville attacked with 450 soldiers from Sudan, 20,000 fighters from Buganda and eight British officers Mparo. Given this superiority sat Kabalega the place on fire and went on in due course to the guerrilla tactics.

In August 1894 Colville Uganda exclaimed to reserve.
