Henry of Scotland
Henry of Scotland (Henry of Scotland or Eanric mac Dabíd; * 1114, † June 12, 1152 ) was a Scottish prince. He was the son of King David I and Maud, 2nd Countess of Huntingdon. Henry was the heir of the Kingdom of Alba ( through his mother ) Earl of the Honour of Huntingdon and Northamption.
Heinrich was named after his uncle, King Henry I of England. He married Ada de Warenne, daughter of William de Warenne, 2nd Earl of Surrey and Elizabeth of Vermandois. Their children were:
- Ada of Huntingdon (* 1139, † 1206)., ∞ 1161, Floris III, Count of Holland ( Gerulfinger )
- Margaret of Huntingdon (* 1140, † 1201); ∞ I 1160 Conan IV, Duke of Brittany († 1171 ); Humphrey de Bohun ∞ II, Earl of Hereford.
- Malcolm IV (* 1142, † 1165 ), 1153 King of Scotland.
- William I (* 1143, † 1214) 1165 King of Scotland.
- David († 1219 ), Earl of Huntingdon.
- Matilda of Huntingdon (* and † 1152 ).
- Marjorie of Huntingdon, ∞ Gille Crist, Earl of Angus.
After Henry's death, the title of Earl of Huntindon went to his half-brother Simon II de Senlis.
