Henry Shefflin

Henry Shefflin ( born January 11, 1979 in Kilkenny) is an Irish hurling player who plays at the 2010 Ballyhale Shamrocks from Kilkenny in the position of the Left wing -forward (left winger ). An injury forced him to pause in 2010, a return to the game operation is likely.

Career

In 2007, he became the captain of his team, the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. Shefflin is considered one of the most outstanding hurling player of all time. In 2004 and 2006 he was the national top scorer during the Hurlingmeisterschaft. In 2006 he was elected Athlete of the Year in Ireland. Previously, he was several times as an All Star Hurler Of The Year (2002, 2006) and GPA - Hurler of the Year was awarded.
