Henry Tye

Sze - Hoi Henry Tye ( b. 1948 ) is a Chinese-American theoretical physicist and cosmologist.

Tye is known for its proposal that a brane and a Antibrane cancel each other out and thus drive the inflation of the universe. In addition, his work in the superstring theory, the Branenkosmologie and elementary particle physics in the art are known.

He received the B. S. 1970 from the California Institute of Technology in 1974 and his Ph. D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 1974 to 1977 he worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, from 1977 to 1978 at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, 1978 to 1987 at Cornell University, where he is a professor since 1987. He is also a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
